Digestive process breaks the food down. This changes its Bhautic composition. This changed form is known as 'Vipaka'. It can further be classified into three categories,

	Madhura Lavana	:	The Bhautic composition is made up of 'Prithvi' and 'Jala'. The Dosas of Pitta and Vata decrease. Kapha increase.
	Amla	:	There is Bhautic effect of 'Amla'. Pitta and Kapha are aggravated. On the other hand, Vata is pacified.
	Katu Tikta Kasaya	:	There is an increase in Vata and Pitta, whereas the effect on Kapha is negative. Its Bhautic character is 'Katu'.
