The objects for which the institute is established are :-
Pharmaceutical Research:
	To conduct and support Pharmaceutical, Pharmacognostical, Clinical & Pharmacological research activities in Ayurvedic / Herbal fields at international level for challenging disorders like aids, cancer, azoospermia, leukemia etc.
	To support scientific research on herbal products abroad by Ayurvedic or modern doctors on Ayurvedic and Allopathic parameters.
	To support research in advancement or cultivation system for over exploited plant species.
	Development of quality control standards for ultra advanced pharmaceutical on line processing for Ayurvedic medicines.
	Development of standards for suitable hygienic & safe packaging systems for internal / external Ayurvedic medicines.
	To support or conduct QC standards for raw materials plant & mineral products.
	To develop general standards for Ayurvedic medicines QC protocol for patent / preprietory medicine.
Clinical Research:
	To establish clinical trial centers in collaboration with the Govt. / Non Govt. Institutes / Hospitals for herbal medicines.
	To organize the development of Ayurvedic Clinical, diagnostic and remedial softwares, international standards on traditional standards & traditional Ayurvedic principles and parameters.
